Support Squash Communities This December |
|
As the year draws to a close, Squash for Development Organisations (SDOs) continue their vital work supporting communities in need around the world. For many of the children they serve, consistent access to food and nutrition remains one of the most pressing challenges. At Khelshala in Chandigarh, India – a squash, academic, and extracurricular charity – a recent assessment identified that 69% of children in their programme are underweight. At Squash Dreamers in Amman, Jordan – supporting refugee girls through squash, education, and wellbeing programmes – baseline assessments showed that 19% of participants were eating only one meal per day, and 47.6% just two meals per day, before food support was introduced. Across all SDOs, children rely heavily on these programmes to help meet their basic nutritional needs. This December, The Squashmas Feast aims to extend that support even further, helping underserved communities access reliable, nutritious meals throughout the festive period and beyond. |
