September 9th witnesses the start of the Winter 1 Squash League.
The fixtures for all four divisions are laid out on the Sporty HQ website – https://www.sportyhq.com/league/view/OSRA-Winter-League
The top league in particular is set to be ultra competitive as participants vie to supplant Brackley 1 from a top spot they have made their own since 2019. Rumour has it some of the top dogs will be lining up at the likes of Hithercroft, Abingdon and University so let battle commence!
On a less joyful note, the coming season will be the last for teams representing Racquets, Thame.
Simulated golf activity has prevailed and the town will now be left without courts. It is to be hoped the remaining players will find a new home if not as an ensemble, then perhaps by rehousing themselves with others. Despite their impending demise, they may pose a title threat in Division Two.

Division Three includes Banbury West End with their revamped courts and as previously communicated, it is recommended all opponents take advantage of the offer to warm up there for at least half an hour pre match.
A fifth Abingdon side makes a welcome inaugural appearance and completes a full line up in a Division Four which may well be dominated by a revitalised Wallingford.
